The appearance of the
Gargantuan
Baraton is one of the most famous early event
encounters on Rubi-Ka. Occurred on August 18,
29475 outside of MeetMeDere, and again on August
19 outside of Tir. |
The most curious and unusual
occurrences on Rubi-Ka are not the first encounters with
a new animal, or a battle waged against an especially
powerful Guardian, but are rather described as "event
only encounters."An
event only encounter is a general term used to classify
and describe the sudden appearance of an unusually large
or powerful specimen of a regular animal as described in
the pages of this site. Whether human, animal, plant, or
"alien", these encounters are almost always exciting and
dangerous encounters for the settlers fortunate enough
to be involved in them.
A typical event only encounter will involve at
least 10-50 different settlers, and an uncoordinated
defense of a city that has come under attack by the
event-only creature. Shown below are some of the
reported event-only encounters.
If you would like to submit an event only encounter,
a picture of the event MUST be included. Submit the
date, time, and location of the event, the picture, and
your settler name to me at
krystanova@yahoo.com. Since encounters CANNOT be
verified without a picture, any submissions without a
picture will not be posted. The picture must be centered on the creature, not on the settler, and it is preferred if the creature is still alive. If the settler is blocking the creature in any way, (if it's a small one, anyway) the picture will not be accepted. Once an encounter is posted,
only those who have submitted a picture prior to posting
will be included as having encountered the beast. In the
event of multiple submissions of the same encounter, or
multiple pictures by the same person of the same
encounter, the best picture will be selected by the
site's operators. Also, please note that, under no circumstances will a DynaCamp boss be accepted as an event-only encounter.
