The offal worm is encountered in several of its growth
stages on Rubi-Ka, from it's earliest phase as a grub,
to its full adult phase as a worm. The key difference
between the young and adult offal worm is size, speed,
strength, and resilience. At all stages of its growth,
the offal worm is an omnivore, and will attack a human
on sight, feeling it easy prey. The worms remain dangerous,
even at their youngest stages, until the settler has
become proficient enough in his or her profession to
achieve level 50 status. The fully grown worms remain
a threat much longer, and should only be confronted
by the truly advanced.
These animals are known to have spread throughout the
Artery Valley and across the banks of the Stret River.
Their range, however, seems largely confined to these
zones, possibly due to the significant amount of freshwater
needed in their reproduction process.
