The anun is an unusual creature. Like the
Eremites and the
Baratons, the Anuns seem very highly
adapted for life on a desert planet, which is exactly
what Rubi-Ka was before Omni-Tek's arrival and terraforming.
These leathery, birdlike creatures do not fly quickly or
at great height; indeed, they seem to fly just high enough
to escape an Eremite and jump on the back of a passing
Baraton, picking at the parasites that may grow on such
a massive beast. Slow in general movements, and awkward
in flight, Anuns prove remarkably fast when provoked or
attacked.
Anuns are not well recorded in any researched Omni-Tek
database predating the arrival on Rubi-Ka, but that
does not guarantee their native standing, and so their
placement may be adjusted over time. Regardless, their
reputation for ferocity precedes them, and they should
be approached with extreme caution in the wilds of Rubi-Ka.
